Green Chemistry Campus
Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands
At the Green Chemistry Campus in Bergen op Zoom, entrepreneurs, governments and knowledge institutions are involved in the scaling up of new, sustainable materials and chemicals for the building materials and packaging industry. Renewable raw materials such as elephant grass and organic and wood waste form the basis for this.
The campus offers members of the Green Chemistry Campus Community access to laboratories, a demo facility and office space, as well as financing, marketing and technology support.
The Green Chemistry Campus, Lightronics and Global Innovator are working together on improving the working climate for community members and reducing energy consumption by up to 60% through Smart lighting controls.
The Green Chemistry Campus is participating in the IKARES project (Intelligent CarbonArme Energy Systems), co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
